Kelly Holloway
BA, MSc, PhD
Dr. Holloway is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow, in the Institute for Health Policy, Management & Evaluation at the University of Toronto. Prior to her current fellowship, she was also a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Medicine at Dalhousie University. She earned her PhD in Sociology from York University, and a MSc in the Department of Public Health Sciences in collaboration with Women’s Studies from the University of Toronto.
Dr. Holloway is a Medical Sociologist with interdisciplinary training in feminist theory and political economy. Her doctoral work in Sociology explored pharmaceutical industry influence in medical education in the United States and Canada. In her first post-doctoral fellowship she studied the emerging health researchers and the commercialization of academic science. In her current position she is studying the political economy of molecular diagnostics with Dr. Fiona Miller. She will serve as a Knowledge User on the grant.
