Dr. Jean-Philippe Rocheleau is a Professor and Researcher at the Department of Animal Health at Cegep de Saint-Hyacinthe. He also teaches Epidemiology and Veterinary Public Health in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal and is a member of the Research Group on Zoonoses Epidemiology and Public Health (GREZOSP). Dr. Rocheleau received his DVM and PhD in Veterinary Sciences Epidemiology both from the Université de Montréal.
Dr. Rocheleau specializes in public health issues at the human-animal-environment interface, he has been working for various Canadian public health agencies and organizations since 2003, particularly on surveillance and intervention projects against emerging vector-borne diseases. Research interests include zoonoses, epidemiology, vector diseases, food safety and sustainable development.
Dr. Rocheleau is a Co-Applicant on the grant. He will contribute to research activities on risk reduction and prevention (Pillar 2), where he will assist with veterinary sentinel surveillance and use of veterinary informatic records in Québec.
