Dr. Savage is the creator and manager of the citizen science electronic platform eTick.ca, a public platform for image-based identification and population monitoring of ticks in Canada. The citizen science project invites the public to participate in the monitoring of ticks in Canada by submitting tick photos on e.Tick.ca for identification by a professional. It is currently available in the province of Québec with planned expansions in Ontario and New Brunswick.

Dr. Savage is a Co-Applicant on the grant. She will  share the tick surveillance data collected through eTick.ca and will use the network to constantly improve and update the public health messages disseminated through eTick.ca as well as develop province-specific requirements for the expansion of the platform beyond Québec.
