Alison Thompson Bio

Alison Thompson

BA, MA, PhD

 

Dr. Alison Thompson is an Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. Dr. Thompson obtained an MA from the University of British Columbia and her PhD in Public Health and Bioethics from the University of Toronto. Her expertise is in philosophy (applied ethics) and social science, including expertise in the methodology of Brokered Dialogue. Her research has been focused on the public understanding of science and on public health ethics and policy.

 

Dr. Thompson is a Co-Applicant on the grant. She will collaborate with other team members in patient and community engagement (Pillar 4) and hopes to also be able to contribute some ethical analysis as needed.
